Jeremiah 32:15 (ESV)

For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall again be bought in this land.

Talk About It

God told Jeremiah to buy a field, even though it looked like everything was about to be lost. Enemies were all around, and the land was in trouble. But God wanted Jeremiah—and everyone else—to trust that He would bring hope and good things again. Buying the field was a sign: God would rescue His people and make things new. Just like Jeremiah trusted God’s promise when life looked hard, we can trust that God is working to bring hope and freedom for us, too. God’s love redeems us—He gives us a fresh start and a home with Him. No matter how difficult things seem, God’s plans are to restore and save His people.

For Parents to Explain

Lord, thank You for rescuing us and giving us hope. Help us trust that You can bring good things, even when life is hard. Amen.

Family Activities

Promise Field (Hopeful Reminder)

  1. Draw a field or backyard on a large sheet of paper.
  2. Each person writes or draws a hope or prayer for the future on a small piece of paper “seed.”
  3. Glue or tape the hope “seeds” into the field drawing.
  4. Hang up the Promise Field to remember God’s power to restore for your family.

Redemption Tag (Freedom Game)

  1. Choose one person to be “tagger” and the rest as “captives.”
  2. When someone is tagged, they freeze in place until another player comes and gently tags them free (redeems them).
  3. After a few rounds, talk together about how God sets us free from things that hold us back.
  4. Finish by thanking God for rescuing and redeeming His people.

Family Prayer

Take turns asking God to help your family trust His promises, especially when situations seem tough or confusing.
